Which RO Water Purifier is best for normal water filtering. Provide spares easily once warranty is over….?

Normally, I have heard some companies ask to take their yearly maintenance service (that costs a lot), otherwise they don’t give spares(filter, UV….etc.) or say presently out of stock… I am interested in Aqua Guard RO Smart or Aqua Fresh Dolphin or please suggest any better at reasonable price.

I need to choose a water filter/purifier..but its a dilemma!?

I am in a DILEMMA!
I was going to make a purchase for an RO sytem from one of the well-known brands in India (Eureka-Forbes). When I booked an RO system, the salesman who came to my place told me that I do not need an RO (as the TDS level was around 275, and RO is recommended only for above 500).

Then Forbes has launched a brand called Aquasure, which is non-electrical, filter based model (it uses the usual candles and a new one called Razon filter… i dont know if i am spelling it right)… now this is a real cheap one…

But my dilemma is that EVERY other dealer I have spoken with, claims that there is nothing better than RO, whereas this brand says that I might end up doing more harm by losing some vital minerals if I put RO for levels of TDS below 500 …

What should I do??… pls help !!!

what is the safe range of TDS level for drinking purpose?

we are living near the costal area of India-Jamnagar, drinking water is always a scarcity in this area, and also the quality of water is quite hard. we have to use ground water many times having TDS level more then 1000.
considering the above problem, i have purchased a water purifier with RO system of a standard company two years back. costing me aroung Rs. 12000/
now due to good monsoon since last two years, ground water table has increased and may be the hardness of water is reduced. presently we are using corporation water as drinking water having TDS level around 117.
the service engineer of water purifier company has visied some days back and change the membrane as part of regular maintenance.
now the TDS level of purified water (outlet of the machine) has dropped to 6 only.
considering the above back ground my quaries are :
** what does TDS level means ?
** is it safe to use such low TDS level water for drinking purpose?(i am having a 6 year old child in family)
