Why does the water and ice coming from my GE PRofile refrigerator smells moldy and tastes bad?

I have a GE Profile Performance refrigerator with a built in water filtration system and ice maker. I’ve had this refrigerator for years. All of a sudden, the ice and water tastes like metal and smells moldy. I have replaced the filter twice and no luck.

No Water Pressure after replacing GE Water Filters?

I have a GE Water Filtration system for my well water. I replaced the two filters and the second I turn on the water, I go to the house and no water pressure; it just trickles. I had water pressure before with the dirty filters but now nothing with the clean filters. Ive turned on and off everything changed filters again. But still no water pressure!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

NO MONEY FOR A PROFESSIONAL TO COME AND LOOK AT IT EITHER

Is a reverse osmosis GE filtration system worth the extra $100 as oppose to standard 2-stage GE filter kit?

Went to the hardware store today to look at different water filters. I wanted something better than a Britta pitcher, so I was looking at different water filtration system by GE.

There’s a standard 2-stage filter kit (it has two filters) which goes in-line with your cold water. 9

And there’s a 2-stage filter kit with reverse osmosis. 9.

Question is, what’s the difference between the two and is it worth the 0 price difference?

I assume where I live is relevant. So it would be used in Seattle water. Which our water company test our systems (not sure for what) 3 times a day. Better than some water bottling companies.

Rainsoft 9591 RO under sink system – RO tank storage?

I moved into a family friends home and she has a under the sink rainsoft RO water filtration system. i am looking to get the unit back into working order. i figure i need all new filters and a membrane… but..

she has the water turned off to the unit and i do not know for how long. i would assume 1+years. would this cause any damage to the RO tank (fouled water etc?). if not would a bleach cleaning take care of everything? i would hate to put all new filters in and have a fouled tank ruin the filters…
